Honduras Las Rocas is a natural-processed Parainema coffee grown at 1,450 meters on Las Rocas farm in Santa Bárbara, Honduras. Owned by third-generation producer Jorge David Portillo Mejía, the farm is dedicated to innovation and quality.
Parainema, developed by the Honduran Coffee Institute (IHCAFÉ), is a rust-resistant variety prized for its excellent flavor. At Las Rocas, ripe cherries are carefully handpicked and sun-dried on raised beds, enhancing their natural sweetness and complexity. This coffee showcases vibrant notes of tropical fruit, red grape, and cacao nibs, balanced by crisp acidity and smooth sweetness.
In 2024, this coffee earned a score of 87.75 points in the Honduras Cup of Excellence. Brew92 won the bid for this exceptional coffee, reflecting their dedication to sourcing top-quality specialty coffees.
